12 months at NOC for larceny

RAVINDRA NAUTH, 16, of Bush Lot Village, Essequibo Coast, was on Wednesday sentenced to 12 months at the New Opportunity Corps (NOC), Onderneeming, also on the Essequibo Coast, after he pleaded guilty to a break and enter and larceny charge.

Nauth made his first appearance before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court, where he admitted to breaking into the stall of Anita Daniels on February 17 and stealing a quantity of energy drinks and sweets.

After listening to his plea, Magistrate Sam handed down the sentence.
