PRESIDENT of the North Essequibo Cricket Committee, Prince Holder, on behalf of the Executives extended warmest congratulations to Mr Hilbert Foster on his election as president of the Berbice Cricket Board recently.

During an interview with Chronicle Sport, Holder expressed confidence that Foster is the most suitable candidate to herald in a new chapter and rebuild the strong fabric that is associated with Berbice cricket for decades.

Holder has since announced that his committee is prepared to join with all stakeholders including the BCB to transform cricket in Guyana especially in the rural areas and in schools. He also commended Foster for his commitment, sacrifice and perseverance over the years in transcending the Rose Hall Town and Youth Sports Club (RHTY&SC) into one of the most dynamic institutions in the country and one which has served to benefit thousands in the field of education, sports, arts and culture among other disciplines.

Such strong and decisive leadership, Holder revealed, will serve in positioning Berbice Cricket to once again rise above the current dismal standard that has plagued cricket generally in Guyana.
