AS Guyana prepares to observe it’s 48th Republic Anniversary under the theme “Let’s Cooperate and Celebrate Republic 48″, the Pepperpot Magazine has decided to focus on colourful stories- much like the celebrations themselves.

Our cover captures some of our talented school children at their best during the Children’s Mashramani Competitions. We zero on in how one school, which performed well in the Costume Competition, strives to keep the spirit of Mash alive among its children and how they encourage enthusiasm and togetherness in their students, especially at this time.

Our other stories take you to other parts of the country and give a little preview of other cultural aspects that all contribute to making us uniquely “Guyanese” – be it through our agriculture, our tourist attractions or even our history. We hope that this collection of stories gives you even more reasons to celebrate!
