Victim apprehends young phone snatcher

A 17-YEAR-OLD youngster accused of snatching a man’s phone while in a minibus was on Tuesday charged and remanded to prison.

Akeem Grandville appeared before Magistrate Annett Singh and denied that on January 15 at Water Street, Georgetown he stole a cellphone valued $25,000 from Avinash Ragbar.

According to the City Constabulary prosecutor, the teen was arrested by the victim after he attempted to get away.
Magistrate Singh remanded the teen until January 30.
