Wedding house shooters surrender

TWO suspects called “Rambo” and “Bara” wanted in connection with the shooting of three persons at a wedding house at 89 Hampshire, Corentyne, Berbice on Saturday, December 23, 2017 surrendered to police on Thursday accompanied by their attorney.

The incident occurred about 00:30hrs on Saturday morning during a fight. Three persons were shot and later hospitalised; two were discharged as the remainder is listed as being in a stable condition.

The victims were identified as Samuel Samaroo, 28, a salesman of 63 Hampshire Village; Terry Ramsammy, 21, a labourer of the same village; and Nicholas Beharry, 24, an unemployed man of Hampshire Squatting Area.

Samaroo was shot once to his right arm, Ramsammy sustained three gunshot wounds in the abdomen, while Beharry sustained two gunshot wounds in the back.

The suspects, known by the call names names “Rambo” and “Bara”, had fled the scene in a vehicle minutes after the shooting.
