Dear Editor,
THE Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) strongly objects to a front page headline in the Stabroek News – ‘GPH doctor suspended after families claim negligence in patient deaths’ – with article on page 10, since both are misleading and devoid of facts. Be advised that if any effort was made to determine the reality, it would have revealed that Dr. Abel Fernandez Ciria is not and was never employed at the GPHC.

Further, the incidents referred to never occurred at this institution. GPHC views this matter seriously and demands a retraction with like prominence.
