THE Guyana Public Service Co-operative Credit Union on Friday awarded the children of 22 of its members who were successful at the National Grade Six Examinations.

The award ceremony took place at the Union’s Hadfield Street office, and saw in attendance the parents and guardians of the children to be awarded.

In her remarks, GPSU’s Ms Grace McKend bade her guests welcome by way of a song after which she congratulated the awardees for their exceptional performance at the examination.

She also urged those parents and guardians present to utilise the credit union to their advantage so they may enhance the lives of their children by giving them a tertiary education.

Each of the 22 students were presented with a backpack with school supplies, such as stationery, a monetary award and a certificate.
