Guyana Women to open account against Uruguay

THE highly-anticipated Pan American Indoor Hockey Championships start at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall with the Guyana Women playing two games.
They ladies will play against Uruguay in the second match of the day at 11:15hrs before turning around to play Argentina at 17:30.hrs
The day’s proceedings open with the Argentina Women taking on the Barbadians at 10:00hrs in the first game with the third women’s encounter featuring the United States and Trinidad and Tobago at 12:30hrs.
At 13:35, the Men’s action gets underway with Canada and Mexico squaring off after which Guyana and Barbados will clash at 15:00hrs.
Women’s action returns at 16:15hrs with Canada and Barbados having to battle while the Guyanese ladies return to action.
Following a brief opening ceremony at 17:00hrs, Argentina and Trinidad and Tobago return at 18:45hrs for a men’s clash with Uruguay and Trinidad and Tobago closing off the night at 20:00hrs with a female clash.
Play resumes tomorrow with six more matches at the same venue, starting from 13:00 hrs and Guyana’s men will open their quest for top honours with a clash against regional counterparts T&T at 16:45 hrs.
All Guyana is being urged to wear Green or Yellow tops in support of the national teams.
