THE police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting of a Friendship South ,East Coast Demerara resident Friday afternoon.
Reports are that the man was shot once to his left elbow by a known suspect, because he rebuked him (suspect) for smoking cannabis next to where he was standing at Friendship South, ECD about 17:30hrs.
The 24-year-old victim was treated for his injury at the Georgetown Public Hospital and sent away. The suspect, who allegedly drew a handgun and discharged three rounds in the victim’s direction and escaped in a motor car, is being sought.
