Three in custody for improvised shotgun

 

A Corentyne family has been detained by police following the discovery of an improvised shotgun in their home Tuesday night.

According to a release, police acting on intelligence went to Kildonan Village, Corentyne, Berbice, and conducted a search of a two-story house for arms and ammunition and found an improvised single barrel shotgun, minus ammunition hidden in the lower flat.

A 61-year-old male, his wife, 51, and their 18-year-old son, are assisting with the investigation.
