THE Trojan Cycling Club Perfection Service Ltd (PSL) was formed on October 10, 2010. Two years later the club became affiliated to the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF)
Five years on, the club has made its name as one of the leading cycling clubs in the country.
Located Lot 28, Kent Street New Amsterdam, Team Trojan is governed by its constitution; in addition the executive body has a fundamental role within the club.
The club was established to provide equal opportunity to its members irrespective of gender, ethnicity, religion, political affiliation, economic or related backgrounds without discrimination, biases or prejudice.
Cycling in Guyana has grown. The club aims to promote fair play and true sportsmanship, which are of utmost importance in the sporting world.
It’s clear to say that our cycling clubs need to foster disciplined individuals. The Trojan Cycling Club (PSL) seeks to promote friendship amongst sportsmen, to encourage, nurture and create a healthy lifestyle for its followers.
Club president Mr Steve Ramsuchit reiterated the goals of Team Trojan: to redefine the sport, encourage team spirit and be a club second to none.

At present they are 19 registered cyclists with two veterans over 45. They are Archibald Williams and Steve Ramsuchit, Michael Hintzen,. Everal Mundy, Shurland Sue Hang. Seniors, Jeban Crawford, Samuel Mootoo. Juniors: Romello Crawford, Curtis Dey, Jason Cameron. Females: Deance Welch, Christeen Matheson, Rosheika Crawford. Juvenile: Kenwin Collins, Robin McCullum. 12-14 Age Group: Jamar Heligar, Jonathan Ramsuchit. BMX; Shay Sue Hang, Raul Crawford.
Ramsuchit said the club is in need of sponsorship for all cyclists, who will have the opportunity to represent the club and Guyana at overseas events.
Financial assistance will aid in upgrading equipment, so performances will improve naturally through healthy living, he said.
“At present some of the cyclists are earmarked to represent Guyana in a number of overseas events.
Curtis Dey has been selected for the Caribbean Junior Championships in Mexico (Jjuly 29-August 6), Jason Cameron and Ms Deance Welch for the Inter-Guiana Games in Suriname, Romello Crawford will participate in the Pan Am Track championships in Trinidad and Tobago.
For the Tobago Classics, set for September this year, Team Trojan will have participants in the entire category.
For us to fully achieve our objectives and goals we need the support of the people who genuinely want to see the sport develop and become a success story for Guyana.
