A 60-year-old man was on Monday placed on $20,000 bail by City Magistrate, Judy Latchman, when he appeared before her on a charge of damage to property.
It is alleged that sometime between February and April, 2017, at Sheriff Street, Georgetown, Gavin Henry of Berbice Street, Lamaha Springs, Georgetown, unlawfully and maliciously damaged the left back and front lights of motorcar HB1127. The lights are valued at $40,000, and are the property of Selwyn Williams.
Henry’s attorney requested bail and stated that the father of one will return to court. Bail was set in the sum of $20,000 by Magistrate Latchman and the matter was adjourned to July 14, 2017.
