Four teams register victories in latest round of matches
ACTION continued in the DIGICEL Schools Football Championships yesterday with Corentyne Comprehensive Secondary, Friendship, St Cuthbert’s Mission and Bladen Hall all registering wins.
Over at Dora ground, St Cuthbert’s railroaded Dora Secondary 3-1 thanks to strikes from Mark Clenkian (3rd), Elroy Dundas (7th) and Paul Henry (13th) while Dora had Jahmal Harris on target in the 23rd minute.
In Berbice at the Burnham Park ground Corentyne Comprehensive Secondary wasted no time in downing Winifred Gaskin 5-0. Issano Fields’ hat-trick, (28th, 45th and 60th), coupled with Quinton Andrews (14th and 21st), led the way.
Meanwhile Bladen Hall had no trouble edging Bygeval 2-1. Shamar Adams and O’Neil Hamilton were responsible for the triumph yesterday while Bygeval had Nigel Mansfield on target in the 70th.
Action at Grove saw Friendship Secondary beat Camille Institute 3-0.
