The Global Friendships Foundation in collaboration with American Expats living in Guyana are promising an urban picnic at ‘Straight Outta Texas’ the Ultimate American Independence Celebration in Georgetown which will be held at the Umana Yana on Monday.
The largest public American Independence celebration to be held in Guyana, it’s looking to be the kind of party that every foodie dreams about, as the lay out a wide array of all American classics like the cheeseburger, hot dogs, pulled pork and so much more showcasing the bounty and delectable culinary culture of the United States.

The beverage bars are going to be working hard with the theme: “Make America Drink Again”, stocking all of the popular American cocktails, beer, sodas, and wines. There’s also expected to be live musical performances featuring popular American hit music and other cultural items.
Children attending this red, white and blue Texas themed party can have their faces painted and participate in a number of games such as hotdog and watermelon eating contests all as part of the celebrations.

Attendees are also encouraged to wear their American Western outfits as there will be prizes for the best dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl.
The public is invited to come out in their numbers and enjoy this novel event.
