Dear Editor
WE LOST the match and the series but our fighting spirit was strong as ever.
Jason Holder and team, particularly Ronston Chase, who was the rock of the innings, can feel proud of the defiant display literally down to the last ball.
Of course this in no way diminished the play of Pakistan. They were fierce competitors, as they were throughout the series. The elusive prize they finally captured – winning their first test series in the Caribbean. Both teams must be commended and congratulated for a darn good series, well fought and keenly contested.
Now Mizbah ul-Haq and Younis Khan have brought the curtains down on their illustrious careers. The game will miss these two fine players, who held audiences captivated worldwide.
