Victor Montagliani,president of the Confederations of North and Central America and the Caribbean Football (CONCACAF),is scheduled to arrive in Guyana at 21:30hrs tonight.
The Canadian,who was voted into the top position last year may 12th,became the 7th President of the Confederation which was established in 1961.
During his one-day official visit he will make courtesy calls on several Ministers of Government tomorrow morning.
During the afternoon the 51 year-old Montagliani will participate in the official launch of the National Under-15 Frank Watson tournament being sponsored by the Pele FC Alumni of the USA.
After the launch at the National Gymnasium,the CONCACAF Chief will head to Providence where he will have a first-hand view of the site for the FIFA Forward Project to build a long- over-due home for football in Guyana, inclusive of several pitches.
Monagliani,who is also the head of the Canadian Soccer Association,will also meet with the Media at the Pegasus Hotel at 17:00hrs,and in the evening he will be the guest of honor at a closed door dinner.
He wings out of the country on Wednesday morning.
The Canadian is only the second head of CONCACAF to officially visit Guyana,following one by disgraced Trinidadian Austin ‘Jack’ Warner who has been indicted for corruption by the US Department of Justice and who frequented Guyana during his 21-year tenure at the helm of football in the Region.
