Orville Hinds to defend DDL 35-lap feature today in National Park

TEAM Evolution’s Orville Hinds will try to make a successful defence of his Diamond Mineral Water (DDL) 35-lap title when cycle coach Hassan Mohamed stages the 12th edition of the race beginning at 09:00hrs in the National Park.Hinds, who won the event last year in one hour 19 minutes 58 seconds, will have to be wary of a number of riders who, since the 2017 season started, have been showing very good form. Among them are Stephano Husbands, Andrew Hicks, Jamal John, Hamza Eastman and Paul DeNobrega.
Raphael Leung is expected make a successful defence of his 10-lap Juvenile title, which he won last year in a time of 23 minutes 28.18 seconds, while Junior Niles of Team Coco’s will strive to do likewise, as he has been in tremendous form since the 2017 season began in January. Niles clocked 11 minutes 46 seconds for the five-lap race last year.
Keon Thomas will be out to defend his mountain bike five-lap race title, which he won in 25 minutes 45.21 seconds last year.
Representatives of DDL will be on hand to witness the event as well as to make the presentations to the respective winners.
