Williams nets twice as Christianburg/Wismar Secondary brush aside Harmony 6-0

FORMER champions Christianburg/Wismar Secondary (Multi) School brushed aside Harmony 6-0, to open their campaign in this year’s Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond 9th annual Linden Inter-Secondary School Under-18 football tournament on Wednesday afternoon, but Linden Technical Institute and Linden Foundation Secondary had to share points after a 0-0 draw at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground.
Playing in the opening match of this year’s tournament, the Multi boys quickly asserted themselves with a dominant display. John Regis opened their scoring in the 20th minute and this was followed by goals from Omar Williams, who netted twice, with the first coming in the 25th, Brewley Allicock in the 30th.
Williams hit in his second in the 36th minute with Tomace Williams getting one also in the 58th minute and Anxie Major the sixth of the game in the 67th minute.
The second game produced no goals and this game between Linden Foundation Secondary and Linden Technical Institute ended goalless.
The competition continues next Wednesday at the Wisburg ground.
