The son of a High Court judge Brassington Reynolds, died Saturday after losing control of his vehicle which slammed into a utility pole at Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara, and ended up in a nearby canal.
He was identified as Ryan Reynolds, 20, of Ogle, East Coast Demerara. Residents in the area said they heard a loud impact in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
“I didn’t come out because it was dark, but we hear a loud sound, but didn’t bother with it because of the time in the morning,” one resident said.

Police said from the initial investigation, the young man was heading east on the roadway when he lost control of his vehicle PJJ 2706, which collided with a utility pole before plunging into the canal.
Police received a report of the accident and when they visited the scene, they found the young man in the car. He was taken to hospital by police but later succumbed to the injuries he received.
