A 53-YEAR-OLD Plaisance man was placed on $70,000 bail by City Magistrate Annette Singh after he made his appearance at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.Martin McLennan denied the allegation which stated that on February 2, 2017 at Sunrise Import and Export on Regent Street he stole 60 pieces of children clothing valued $48,000; two pairs of shoes valued $7,000 and one bed sheet worth $8,500, property of “Limpy,” one male Chinese National.

McLennan asked the magistrate for a reduction in bail. But after consulting with the prosecutor the Magistrate said she was advised to maintain the same amount of $70,000.

The matter was adjourned until February 20.
