A mother of one died on Saturday morning after the car she was driving slammed into an electrical pole at Seawell Village, East Berbice Corentyne.
The accident occurred at approximately 09:00 hrs.

According to reports Shabana Ali an employee with the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) was on her way to Georgetown to attend a workshop when she reportedly lost control of the car she was driving. The vehicle, bearing registration PNN 198, later slammed into the electrical pole.
The young lady died on the spot.
