A SEVEN-MEMBER family of ‘C’ Field, Sophia has been left homeless and displaced after a fire — which started just after 13:00 hrs on Monday, when a stove was left unattended — destroyed a modest wooden house measuring about 10 feet in length by 10 feet in width.Occupants of the dwelling reported that while cooking they stepped outside for a short while, and upon returning inside, they observed the kitchen on fire.

Within minutes, the blaze had engulfed the entire one-flat wooden building, but quick action by firefighters prevented it from spreading to nearby buildings.
