Kester Da Costa replaces Ramalho on GPL board

CABINET has approved the appointment of Kester Da Costa to the board of Guyana Power Light (GPL) after member Leslie Ramalho resigned, citing his duties as Managing-Director of his company which has operations in Guyana and Suriname. Minister of Natural Resources, Raphael Trotman, told reporters on Thursday that Cabinet has noted Ramalho’s work as exemplary and thanked him for his service.
In January, 20, 2016, Cabinet had approved the board of directors for GPL. Its members include: Dawn Gardener, Dr. Mahender Sharma, Ms. Denise Simmons, Mrs. Morsha Johnson-Francis, Ms. Abiola Wong-Inniss, Mr. Tara Singh, Ms. Laurian Bancroft, Mr. Komal Ramnauth and its Chairman Robert Badal.
