A MAN who confessed to the killing of a Kamarang farmer is expected to be charged this week, police said.The partially decomposed body of Dexter Edwards, 27, a farmer of Pariuma River, Kamarang, was on November 5, 2016 discovered in the Ochi Top River in Kamarang by a group of campers.
Police said after the body was fished out a post-mortem revealed that Edwards died from multiple injuries.
Three males, one of whom has confessed to the murder are in custody. Divisional Commander Senior Superintendent Ravindradat Budhram said the police worked tireless behind the case to apprehend the suspect and obtained a confession because of the evidence found.
Meanwhile, three male labourers from Henrietta, Essequibo Coast, will soon be arraigned before a magistrate to answer to a charge of break and enter larceny, which occurred between November 9-11, 2016 at Henrietta Village, Essequibo Coast.
Stolen and recovered are two flat screen television sets, one camera monitor, other articles and cash.
