Several teams register wins in ‘Hit It For 50’

WINDBALL action in the Ministry of Education, National Sports Commission and AL Sport & Tour Promotions ‘Hit It For 50’ competition took place over the week. Played at the Number 71 playfield Upper Corentyne recently, Massiah Primary beat Number 68 Primary by 18 runs. Batting first Massiah made 39-3 while in response Number 68 Primary scored 21-5.
In game two, Number 56 Primary’s 31-1 was enough to deny New Market Primary who made 20-4 a victory in this tournament. Crabwood Creek Primary (19-2) were too much for Skeldon Primary (14-4).
Other winners on the day included Number 59.
On the distaff end, Skeldon Primary’s score of 21-6 was overhauled by Crabwood Creek Primary with 23-0, while Number 56 Primary were restricted to 15 and their opponents Massiah Primary made 16-1.
The organisers paid special thanks to the Regional Education Officer of Region Six and all the schools especially those from Black Bush Polder.
