Wins for Soesdyke Falcons, Grove and Agricola

SOESDYKE Falcons mauled CV Jaguars 10-1, while Grove beat Kuru Kururu Warriors 4-1 and Agricola secured a walk-over victory from Diamond when play in the Guyana Football Federation/NAMILCO National Under-17 Intra-Association competition continued on Saturday last at the Grove Playfield, Grove, East Bank Demerara,
Soesdyke Falcons’ huge margin of victory was spearheaded by Kelsey Benjamin who netted a hat-trick in the 16th, 78th and 79th minutes with support from the Khan siblings, team captain Tyrone and Tyrell.
Tyrell scored in the 11th and 44th minutes, while Tyrone blasted the nets in the 23rd and 58th minutes.
Lerone Prince (54th), Nickolas Billison (75th) and an own-goal closed off Soesdyke’s scoring while Circuit Ville Jaguars got their consolation strike from Melon Joseph in the 70th minute.
The main supporting game saw the home team (Grove) maintaining their unbeaten record with a 4-1 triumph over Kuru Kururu Warriors while Agricola gained full points without breaking a sweat since their opponent, Diamond United, failed to show up for the match.
Grove brushed aside the challenge of the Warriors through goals from Kevin Padmore in the 29th minute, Rasheed Evans in the 60th, Jamasi Benjamin in the 77th and Threvon Pluck two minutes to full time.
KK Warriors were able to pull one back through Jonathan Bailey who found the back of the opposition’s net in the 30th minute which actually tied the match at 1-1 but never threatened after, as Grove ran riot.
Meanwhile, in the East Demerara Football Association Leg of the tournament, Buxton United, Mahaica Determinators, and Ann’s Grove all recorded victories when the League continued at the Golden Grove ground.
Buxton United made light work of the home team (Golden Grove), winning by a 5-0 margin through goals from Tironi Semple who scored in the 68th, 72nd and 75th minutes, while Joshua Liverpool and Leslie Durant supported with a goal each in the 25th and 55th minutes respectively.
Mahaica Determinators beat Bachelors Adventure/Paradise 3-0 with the winning goals coming off the boots of Orland Adonis in the 20th and 25th minutes and one from a Rickford Profit 60th minute strike.
Ann’s Grove then made light work of Buxton Youth Developers,winning by a 4-0 margin.For the victorious Ann’s Grove side, Maurice Adams netted a brace in the 42nd and 44th minutes while Yohance France supported with a brace of his own in the 50th and 52nd minutes.
