ANJANINE Boodnarine, called ‘Cindy’, and Barry Dataram, called ‘Kevin Dataram’ or ‘Kevin Mogatani’, are wanted by the police for possession of ammunition without licence, and possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

The offences were reportedly committed on April 16, 2015 at Lot 661 Block X, 4th Avenue, Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Anjanine Boodnarine, called ‘Cindy’, and Barry Dataram, called ‘Kevin Dataram’ or ‘Kevin Mogatani’, is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 227-2128, 226-1389, 226-7065, 268-2343, 268-2298, 225-2227, 911, or the nearest police station. All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.

Dataram and his reputed wife were charged, along with their friends Trevor Gouveia and Komal Charran, with having, on April 16, 2015, some 129.23kg of cocaine in their possession for the purpose of trafficking. However, only Gouveia and Chandan showed up to hear the ruling of Magistrate Judy Latchman recently. Dataram and his wife were a no-show at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, but Magistrate Latchman fined the convicted drug lord $164.2M and sentenced him to 60 months’ imprisonment for being in possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Arrest warrants were then issued for the Guyana-born American Dataram and his reputed wife Boodnarine. Dataram had in the past successfully fought off efforts to extradite him to the United States of America to face drug-smuggling charges.

The couple’s last known addresses have been given as Lot 79 Patentia, WBD; Lot 76 Patentia, WBD; Lot 13 Vriesland, WBD; and Lot 661 Block X, 4th Avenue, Diamond Housing Scheme, EBD.

Anjanine Boodnarine, called ‘Cindy’, is an East Indian female whose date of birth has been given as 1995-09-01; while Barry Dataram’s date of birth has been given as 1978-01-07.
