A MAN has been arrested on the Melanie Damishana Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD), after ranks of a police mobile patrol found on his person a snub-nose revolver with four matching rounds, and a small quality of substance suspected to be cannabis.This man reportedly operates a vulcanising shop and allegedly sells narcotics. Three charges are likely to be laid this week as the investigation concludes.

Police said armed ranks on foot and in vehicles execute random searches and mass patrols in order to contain crimes and apprehend criminal elements.
