GFF/NAMILCO Under-17 League resumes this week at different venues

THE Guyana Football Federation/NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power Under-17 League will resume this week with matches at different venues in Berbice and East Coast.Todayu, three matches will be played in Berbice as Rosignol United are down to face New Amsterdam United from 15:00hrs at the Rosignol ground. Simultaneously, Cougars will oppose Lichfield Nuggets at Burnham Park, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
From 16:00hrs, Mahaicony Thunder Hawks tackle Monedderlust at the Mahaicony Community Centre ground.
Cougars’ Shane Hamilton is the current leading goalscorer for the Berbice Football Association with nine goals to his name and he is followed by Nial Roberts of Paradise Invaders with five.
Alex Pautaib (Corriverton Links), Troy Munroe (New Amsterdam United), Shafeel Deharte (Paradise Invaders) and Lamar Reid (Cougars) are sharing the third spot with two goals each.
Meanwhile, the East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) has scheduled four matches for this weekend with two each on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, Buxton Youth Developers will challenge Golden Grove from 09:00hrs at the Melanie ground, while from 11:00hrs, Bachelor’s Adventure/Paradise will face Buxton United at the same venue.
On Sunday, Plaisance face Ann’s Grove from 09:00hrs and BV/Triumph oppose Victoria Kings from 11:00hrs at the Melanie ground also.
