Inaugural ‘National Play Day’ for D’Urban Park next Sunday

FUN Park Rentals is excited to introduce the first annual National Play Day event in Guyana. The one-day event is set to take place at D’Urban Park next Sunday from 11:00hrs to 17:00hrs and admission is FREE to the public.
According to the company in a press release, ‘Play Day’ originated in the United Kingdom and is geared at highlighting the importance of play in children’s lives as a means of ensuring recreation, while teaching self-confidence, team-building skills, and developing both minor and major muscle groups, all in an environment of fun and merriment.
Noting that the theme of the event is ‘Play more…’, the company says, “We are first encouraging children to play more at home, in the street, at school and in the community.
“And secondly, we are supporting parents to allow their children to “more…outdoor.” Finally, we hope to foster communities to come together to rehabilitate community playgrounds so children can play more.”
However, in celebration of children’s right to play, Athalyah Yisrael, Manager at Fun Park Rentals has invited all children’s entertainment providers to participate in the first National Play Day event ever to be held on our shores.
She said, “As they all come together to provide a day packed with fun and entertainment for the children, they are inviting parents to bring their children down to D’Urban Park for one last day of fun before school starts.
“There will be traditional outdoor play such as hop scotch, jump rope, hula hoop, obstacle courses and bouncy castles, trampolines as well as other activities. They are also catering for children who are differently-abled.”
