FOOD for the Poor’s (FFP) month-long Silver Jubilee celebration culminated with a ‘Walk of Champions’ Fitness Walk and Health Fair held recently. The walk, which commenced at 07:00hrs in front of the Bank of Guyana building, Main and Church Streets, proceeded east along Church Street, north along Albert Street and into the National Park where the Health Fair was held.
Some of the health services provided included dentistry, optometry and health awareness tips.
The walk, which was well supported, attracted a wide cross-section of the community, including the Mayor of Georgetown, Ms Patricia Chase-Green.
FFP in a release said it thanks 93.1 Real FM, 94.1 Boom FM, Banks DIH Limited, Jermin’s Enterprise Inc, Alleyne & Company Inc, The Garage, Fit-Rex, Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital and Star Party Rentals for their tremendous contributions to making the event a success.
