Eid ul Fitr Congratulations

Dear Editor
Al-Mustafa Islamic Trust (AMIT) wishes heartiest congratulations to the Guyanese Muslim communityfor the conclusion of the Holy month of Ramadhaan, that initiates the celebration of Eid ul Fitr. Eid ul Fitr is the celebration that is incumbent upon Muslims as it concludes the 29 or 30 days of fasting (depending on the moon sighting) of the Holy month of Ramadhaan and promotes a new opportunity for Muslims to unite with their fellow believers, and share their contributions. This is also seen as an
indication to the Muslims by Allah, the Almighty, to spread social and economic equality in the society, since giving charity is highly encouraged on this day. Muslims from across the world, of different races, ethnicities, nationalities and sects, come together in their Mosques or Islamic Centres, to offer specified prayer and embrace each other in happiness and gratitude for what they collectively went through in the Holy month of Ramadhaan. It is prohibited to fast on this specific day due to its significance.
AMIT advises the Muslim community of Guyana to remember all the people who gave their lives away during the recent deadly terrorist attacks in Iraq, Arabia and other places. It is necessary for every Muslim to remember their partners and fellow believers in other parts of the world, while supplicating to
Allah, the Almighty.
AMIT happily invites all the Muslims to celebrate and enjoy this auspicious event
Regards
Al-Mustafa Islamic Trust (AMIT)
