Corporate Guyana pitching in like crazy –as ‘Jubilee Festival’ draws closer

IN preparation for the Guyana Jubilee Festival, three more private sector companies yesterday came on board and donated a total of $7.5M towards the event.Events are slated for May 19 – 22 at the National Stadium at Providence, East Bank Demerara, and at Colgrain House on Camp Street, here in the city.

Minister of Public Telecommunication, with responsibility for Tourism, Cathy Hughes, expressing her gratitude to the companies for coming on board, said she is very grateful that corporate Guyana is coming forward and assisting in the sponsorship of the Jubilee celebrations and the fashion extravaganza.

Singer Guyana Inc. has donated $3M towards the cause, and Banks DIH Limited and Digicel Guyana have respectively donated $2.5M and $2M towards the cause.
