THE National Communications Network (NCN) has officially announced Lennox Cornette as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A statement from Chairman of the NCN Board of Directors, Bishwa Panday, revealed that Cornette will take up his post from May 1, 2016 and will succeed Molly Hassan, who resigned a few months ago.
According to the statement, Cornette emerged the best candidate for the CEO’s position based on his diverse communication, financial and executive management background.
It was further noted that Cornette, who is a Communications Consultant, holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business, a Bachelor in Social Sciences, (majoring in Mass Communications), a Diploma in Public Communication, and certificates in planning promotion from Bailbrook College, England.
“His work experience includes engagements with local and international private sectors in the fields of communication and management. His last position was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Jailing Forest Industries Inc., where he was in charge of administration and operations. He is the author of the book, The Development of Telecommunications in Guyana (1884-1994),” the statement noted.
