BravoWest Indies won the Women’s World T20. And now West Indies have won the World T20. Those are the facts. The how is all the more extraordinary. Needing 19 off the last over against England, Carlos Brathwaite clubbed four consecutive sixes off Ben Stokes to secure the win with two balls to spare.

 

West Indies 161 for 6 (Samuels 85*, Brathwaite 34*, Willey 3-20) beat England 155 for 9 (Root 54, Brathwaite 3-23, Bravo 3-37) by four wickets
