Man on bail for stealing confectionery, generators

CHIEF Magistrate Ann McLennan on Thursday granted 21-year-old Lloyd Fraser bail in the sum of $70,000 after he appeared before her to answer three charges of larceny. One of the charges alleges that between February 22 and 24, 2016, on the Linden-Soesdyke Highway, he broke and entered the shop of Uleine Michael and stole $11,000 worth of confectionery.

The other two charges allege that between February 23 and 24, he stole one Yamaha generator valued at $75,000, property of Vincent Walcott; and one generator valued at $28,000, property of Paul Garraway.

The prosecution’s facts were not stated, but the prosecutor did not object to bail, although it was requested that the amount be substantial.

The matter was adjourned until March 8, and transferred before the Linden magistrate.
