Tikaram bowls Black Bush Secondary to big win

A BRILLIANT bowling effort from off-spinner Ajai Tikaram spearheaded Black Bush Secondary School to an outright victory over Central Corentyne Secondary School in the latest round of the Dalchand Rambharose Inter-Secondary School Under-15 cricket competition.

At the Mibicuri ground, Central Corentyne, decided to bat first and were bowled out fort 57 in the first innings, Tikaram ending with 6-16. Yuvraj Munessar supported with 3-25.
In reply, Black Bush Secondary declared their first innings at 122-7, with Shazam Mohamed hitting 40 and Ezekiel Rebeiro 22. Bowling for Central Corentyne, Shemroy Simpson, Rawle Johnson and Jamal Hickman all picked up two wickets apiece.
Facing a deficit of 65 runs, Central Corentyne, batting a second time, were bowled out for 40, to lose by an innings and 25 runs. Doing the main damage again was Tikaram, who took 6-12, to end with match figures of 12-28. Totaram Ramnarine took 3-20.
