Crime Chief, Wendell Blanhum has confirmed that a 22 – year – old man shot his fiancé to death today in Kartabo, Mazaruni and then turned the gun on himself.

The woman has been identified as 19 – year – old Glena Williams and according to reports, the man is Terry Alexander, who is said to be a Gold Miner. He reportedly shot himself in the head after killing Williams.

Reports reaching the Guyana Chronicle indicate that Alexander found out that his fiancé was seeing someone else, following which an argument erupted and subsequently the murder/suicide.
