THE STAG Elite League (Finale) will resume on Friday, February 12, with a double-header at the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) ground, Camp Ayanganna. League Genesis winners Slingerz FC and third-place finishers Pele FC will collide in the opening game from 17:30hrs, followed by a clash between runners-up Alpha United and Fruta Conquerors.
The league will conclude on May 8, with matches being played at the Tucville Community Centre, #5 Ground (Berbice), Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Leonora Stadium and the Buxton Community Centre ground.
Apart from securing one of the two spots to represent Guyana at the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) club championship and probably CONCACAF Champions League, clubs will be hoping to cash-in on the lucrative prize money.
In the second half of the league, like the first half, the top club will take home $4M, second-placers $2M, third-placers $1M and fourth-placers $500 000. Monedderlust, GFC, GDF and Buxton United are the other teams vying for top honours.
