Accused of stealing brother’s items

A TWENTY-ONE-year-old seaman on Friday appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, charged with breaking into his brother’s South Ruimveldt home. The allegation is that Eon on January 19, broke into the home of his brother Junior Alphonso of 671 Toucan Drive and stole his Black & Decker Blender, a cake-mixer, can opener and a quantity of gold and silver jewellery – totalling $123,500.
Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones related to the court that the brothers were living together and it is alleged that the accused stole the items from his brother’s home.
The Chief Magistrate granted Eon $50,000 bail and ordered him to return to court on February 15 before Magistrate Annett Singh.
