PARIKA Salem Sports Club of East Bank Essequibo has extended congratulations to wicketkeeper batsman Kevon Boodie on his selection to the Guyana team now contesting the 2016 Regional NAGICO Super 50 Tournament in St Kitts and Trinidad and Tobago.According to a release from the club, Boodie has indeed made us proud, being the first player from the Club to be selected on a senior Guyana Team.
Although his achievement of being the first and only player in Guyana to score a double century in a Senior Inter – County 50-overs match in 2014 was played down, Boodie continued to constantly produce good scores which has undoubtedly resulted in his selection.
Unlike his aggressive style of batting, the 22-year-old is an extremely cool and quiet individual, who we are positive, will live up to the expectation of discipline on and off the field.
We wish him well and hope that he contributes significantly to Guyana winning the Tournament, a release concluded.
