THE Pan-African Movement (Guyana Branch) is inviting interested members of the public to join in celebrating “African Civilisation Day 2016” at a forum on children and parenting on Sunday at the Pan-African Gardens at Merriman Mall, Albert Street, Bourda, starting at 15:00 hrs.The theme of the forum is: “Crisis in Education among the Youths of Guyana and the Caribbean”; and the forum will be addressed by Dr Kenrick Hunte, Walter Alexander and Leslyn Elliot.
This forum promises to be culturally rich and exciting, with an explosion of African songs and drumming by the African Warriors of Buxton. There will also be Negro spirituals rendered by Gem Rohlehr-Vogt and Paul Lespoir.
Sweet meats and ice-cream will be among delicacies on sale.
