Conditions to improve at GPHC- President Granger

President David Granger has committed to improving The facilities at The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) as time progresses.

The president was at the time visiting mother’s at The Maternal Ward of The Public Hospital on Christmas morning.

“We will do everything possible to ensure that we have better conditions in years to come,”he said.

President Granger, accompanied by first lady Sandra Granger ,Minister of Social Cohesion Amna Ally and Minister of Health Minister DR George Norton, said his visit to the hospital is an important one as it allows him to understand the challenges facing the hospital and moreover the sector.

At the time of the President’s visit, seven mothers had already given birth on Christmas morning and there were 39 babies and 43 mothers in the post-natal section of the maternity ward.
