LAPARKAN “GTPAK Win a TV” promotion awarded the 13 winners who were presented with their prizes yesterday during a ceremony at the company’s headquarters at Broad and Lombard Streets, Georgetown.The promotion started in October this year, in which customers who have private mail box service were eligible to participate. Laparkan over the past years offered the private mail box service (PMB/GTPAK), where customers can make purchases online using their credit cards and ship to a unique “Laparkan assigned” address in the USA for subsequent forwarding to Guyana.
The first place winner is Gary Sahai, who got a 55-inch television, while the second prize winner is Curtis Mattis was presented a Tablet. The third prize winner is Hakeem Khan, who received a food hamper, while there were 10 consolation prize winners who each got an Amazon gift card.
With this Express Service, persons can complete the electronic form and register online at the website (http://www.gt-pak.com), or at any of the offices countrywide. A unique number and US address will be assigned to each customer, and they can make their purchases online in the USA and forward them to this address, then to Guyana using Laparkan’s freight services. In that way, Laparkan can bring anything a customer purchase overseas and have it delivered to their home in Guyana with his/hew very own GTPAK.
The PMB/GTPAK service has access to three flights weekly and consignments benefit from free delivery within Georgetown and its environs. In addition, a minimal fee is charged for deliveries outside the area. There are also special arrangements for handling cargo in Linden, Berbice and Essequibo.
In an effort to give back to their customers, Laparkan has launched a “Christmas” promotion for the season. Customers, who shopped and shipped using the GTPAK service from October 1 through December 18, will be automatically entered in the Laparkan’s “Christmas” promotion.
