RECENTLY released from prison, 35-year-old Shawn Scipio of 87 Grove Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara (EBD) was on Monday arraigned before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan on a charge of breaking into Beron October’s home at Grove, EBD on December 14, and stealing one wallet, Gy$37,000 and US$100, all property of October.Although denying the allegation, the unrepresented Scipio indicated he was willing to compensate October for the items.

Prosecutor Deniro Jones said the accused was released from prison one month ago, and, for that reason, made no objection to substantial bail being granted.
The accused was placed on $20,000 bail, and the matter was transferred before the Providence Magistrate for January 21, 2016.
