What’s the rush?

The attacks continue to come left, right and centre for our new government, as every step they make is viciously questioned by the opposition. Now, the opposition is calling the government “undemocratic” for its decision to rush three serious bills through parliament at today’s sitting. The public was engrossed in discussion about this topic, with most contending that “you can’t please everybody”. But think about it, if everyone agreed on these such matters, what would there be to talk about? Carry on…

An article from another media house gained much attention after revealing that the M&CC is daily seeing an influx of angry workers who are asking for their money. The public seems to empathise with these persons- most of whom are private contractors and self-employed workers who of course are not among those who will benefit from the celebrated $50,000 bonus. The public believes that these persons should receive premium pay, after all, they basically cleaned 23 years of garbage from the streets… *smirk*
