AN accused motorcycle thief was yesterday placed on $100,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.Twenty-year-old Shawn Letlow of John Fernandes Squatting Area, Industrial Site, denied the charge, which stated that on November 6, 2015, in the company of others, while at West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, he stole a CG125 motorcycle valued $240,000, property of Banks DIH employee Shawn Edow.
Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones told the Court that the police had recently arrested and prosecuted another accomplice, Collin Harry of Lot 18 Meadowbrook, who was released on $150,000 last Tuesday when he appeared before the court.
Chief Magistrate granted Letlow bail, and ordered him to return to court on January 7, 2016 to appear before Magistrate Dylon Bess.
