Steals $1.3M worth of clothing

A MINER was yesterday placed on $120,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan on a charge of break and enter and larceny. Ariane Dookie, a 38-year-old resident of East Street, South Cummingsburg denied the allegation which read that between November 19 and November 20 at Georgetown, he broke and entered the shop of Loris Joseph and stole a quantity of male and female clothing valued $1.3M.
Prosecutor Deniro Jones stated that the articles were not recovered, and said that there were outstanding statements. Jones made no objection to the accused being granted his pre-trial liberty, and asked that substantial bail be granted. He will return to court on January 4.
