VISHUAL Shaw was yesterday fined in his absence by City Magistrate Alex Moore after he was charged for unlawful disposal of building material.He was fined $25,000, or by default four weeks’ imprisonment if the fine is not paid by February 26, 2016. He was absent from all his hearings.
The charged read that on Tuesday, October 2, 2015 at John Street, a public way in the city of Georgetown, he deposited waste on the parapet a quantity of stones, brick, cement and pieces of wood.
The arresting constable stated that on the day in question, as she approached John Street on the southern side, she observed a large quantity of debris. She made inquiries about the materials and the defendant took ownership of the waste.
