THREE persons arraigned on a robbery under arms charge were yesterday released on $75,000 bail each when they appeared before City Magistrate Fabayo Azore.04Twenty-seven-year old Carl Hillman, a mason of Lot 147 Regent Street, Bourda; Kevin Cumberbatch,19, of Lot 83 West Ruimveldt and 28-year-old clothes vendor Troy Smart all pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on November 25, in Georgetown, they robbed Troy Fields of his $20,000 cellular phone.
Police Prosecutor, Corporal Simone Payne objected to bail since the accused had similar matters before the court.
Magistrate Azore however overruled the prosecution’s objection and granted them pretrial liberty. The men will make their next court appearance on December 8.
